BRUNO ANGELINI .PIANO, COMPOSITIONS
EDWARD PERRAUD .DRUMS, PERCUSSIONS
CLAUDE TCHAMITCHIAN .DOUBLE BASS
RÉGIS HUBY .VIOLIN, TENOR VIOLIN, ELECTRONIC
Bruno Angelini is an atypical pianist, endowed with a very personal world as composer and pianist. He is searching his notes as "others sieve the water, looking for gold."
With the Open Land Quartet, he released a first album "Instant Sharings", a serene and gentle music of great intensity, which takes the time to blossom and grow in tension.
The depth of Claude Tchamitchian's double bass, Regis Huby's lyricism (at both acoustic and electric violins) and the freedom and creativity of percussionist Edward Perraud all participate in a quest of intense beauty that was both plebiscited by the public and well greeted by the press.
« It's a music that only jazz musicians can manage to create. Enchanting.» Franck Bergerot for Jazzmag.
« A very nice concert that makes up hope for many others» Xavier Prévost for Jazzmag Live.
Bruno Angelini's latest compositions were tailor-made for this chamber group in order to explore new ways of communicating through Music. This new album will surely constitute an intense continuation for "Instant Sharings".

I was brought here after listening to a live performance of Makaya's on you tube. I instantly loved the song Holy Lands so much that I had to see if the album version was the same rendition as the live one. Then I listened to the whole album! Universal Beings is a just a groove... It's a mix of traditional and something new, very nice. pandr1900
My god, what an absolutely incredible Suite. I'll admit, I've struggled to get into Pharoah Sanders due to diving headfirst into some of his most challenging catalogue and that never worked. This is the perfect place to restart. Floating Points is new for me and I can honestly say I've never heard synthesizer music this lush and organic before. the LSO is just perfect. This is one of those albums that any serious music fan needs in their life. The perfect swan song for the great Pharaoh! 5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
I normally only listen to electronic music, but after listening to this album months ago I found it kept calling out to me. Now after purchasing it I can see why. I am totally addicted to its beauty and harmony. Thank you so much for the wax version, as it is the only form of music I collect. kaosskid
