Would a World without dialogue, without conversation, without discussion, without opposition, without contreversy still be a livable world ? A free-market-principled world, without a wide variety of ideas, without any exchanges, is such a world livable ? I still own this piano,a single one in the world, (There is only one piano left in this world – 1)and this piano can only play music for the relationships between human beings :
Two friendships and two loves (Fear no more, suffer no more – 2), a father and a son (Father and son – 4), the difficult relationships between a leader and his fellow citizens (Crouch, touch, engage – 3), an international authority of wise men and human conscience (Tribune for better times – 5) This lonely piano with multiple voices and ways as well as tones,this instrument unique for holding a dialogue and for creating. Together (Let’s create together-6)
La Buissonne Label has offered me to produce a piano solo. Great !!! In the history of music,more particularely of piano music, there have been thousands of solo piano records...
I considered that it was too early for me and i had neither the desire nor the will-power to record myself another piano solo CD on top of it all. Then thanks to Gérard de Haro’s support and encouragement, i have put a lot of time and effort into a task juggling between writing and improvising with pieces superimposed sounds recordings and percus- sions achieved by means of the piano. A few voices come as well and mingle with the music thus created. This is the context in witch “For better times” was born; a project that evokes through it inspiration my relentless concern for pacified human relationships in those ruthless times. (Andy Emler)

Un monde sans dialogue, sans conversation, sans discussion, sans opposition, sans controverse serait-il encore un monde vivable ? Un monde de la pensée unique, un monde sans diversité d'idées, un monde sans échange est-il viable ? J’ai encore ce piano, ce piano seul au monde (There is only one piano left in this world – 1) et ce piano ne “musique“ que (pour) les relations entre les êtres :
Deux amitiés ou deux amours (Fear no more, suffer no more – 2), un père et un fils (Father and son – 4), les relations difficiles entre un dirigeant et ses concitoyens (Crouch, touch, engage – 3), une instance internationale de “sages” et la conscience des hommes (Tribune for better times – 5). Ce piano solitaire aux voies/voix et aux sonorités multiples, cet instrument unique pour dialoguer et pour créer. Ensemble (Let’s create together – 6).
Le label La buissonne m’a proposé de produire un solo de piano. Fichtre !!! Dans l’histoire de la musique et plus particulièrement du piano, il y a eu des milliers de disques de piano en solo... J’ai estimé qu’il était trop tôt pour moi, et que je n'avais ni le désir ni la volonté, d'enregistrer le disque solo en plus. C’est alors qu’avec le soutien et l’encouragement de Gérard de Haro, je me suis investi dans un travail jonglant entre écriture et improvisation, avec des pièces “orchestrales”, des prises superposées et des percussions réalisées avec le piano. Quelques voix viennent aussi se mêler à la musique ainsi créée. C’est dans ce contexte qu’est né “For better times”, projet qui, à travers son inspiration, évoque mon souci permanent de rapports humains pacifiés dans cette époque implacable.
